Waiting Impatiently Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Waiting Impatiently

Thinking of your love, heart heavy with tears that continue to
spill from these two blue eyes, wanting and hoping to recognize
you once again in this life.

Knowing that it will never happen, doomed to live without you,
my dear, lonely and bereft without you by my side, time slips
by without bringing any comfort.

No feelings being returned, emotions seeming to have died my
love, waiting now for death to take and bring me into your
arms once more.

Totally finding that sorrow, emptiness and loneliness will never
leave until we are together once again beyond the black curtains
of death, waiting impatiently for them to part and let me through.
