Waiting For Inspiration 2 Poem by DM W

Waiting For Inspiration 2

Rating: 5.0

' Don't you wonder sometimes about sound & vision? ' (David Bowie,1977)

O I returned to the well but it was bone dry.
So I waited and waited for the healing rain.
O I waited for forty days, and forty nights!
O it drove me insane! And then at last it came.
Like a sweet, silvery miracle,it poured down
In torrents and soon my well was overflowing!
Now I'm brimming with new dreams & visions & sounds.
And I rejoice at all the gifts that they will bring.

Dominic so neatly and so nicely penned and Bowie inspires us all with his unigue lyrics and music, not forgetting his panache and instantly recognized voice. Great poem.10++ Thank you for your poem and take care.
