Waiting All The While Poem by Sam Fischer

Waiting All The While

Rating: 5.0

Bagpipes from a distant land,
Light shines in from the street,
Ticking away every moment 'til work,
Duvet providing me heat,
Its what Ive made my life since you,
A shadow of itself,
Waiting for you is taking so long,
Its damaging my health,

I'll sit here forever and wait,
Who am I, to tell you this?
Even if you never come back,
My soul will weep and miss,
This simple fact is obvious,
No one could love you, like me,
Not now, not ever, you are my all,
Please open your eyes and see,

Amazing women, how sweet you are,
Your smile refuels my heart,
To think I never believed in love,
That opinion was less than smart,
So I sit here now and wait for good,
Alone for all this time,
Allowing my life to age all the while,
Drifting, no reason or rhyme.
