Waiting Poem by anais vionet

Waiting

Rating: 3.0

I'm waiting out the day
with minimalist hopes
and recycling anxiety.

I'm waiting for the hour
for a smooth transfer of power
or for things to go sour.

I'm waiting for the word
after a period of counting
for freedom's call
or an accelerated freefall.

Waiting is the worst part when something (good or bad) is about to happen. Nicely written!
