now THAT is a memory to cherish! ! ! especially if you had organic maple syrup. Perkins Restaurants made my favorite pancakes. yum! ! i can't recall our family of 4 boys and 1 girl EVER having breakfast together. maybe we did. and how did you all keep from getting fat, or didn't you? oh! Farmers. that was probably the secret. to MyPoemList. bri :)
Your breakfast of fried potatoes, bacon and eggs sounds more appealing to me than waffles, but to each his own. The important thing is the time spent around the kitchen table with family. I assume these waffles were home-made and not the Eggo variety. home-made is always better.
Those memories of family gatherings can bring one much comfort. Nice feeling to this poem. Well done.
