Void For Three Long Years! Poem by Rimni chakravarty

Void For Three Long Years!

Three Long Years!
I have lost my smile and the cheers
I once did when you were there
Now I am the one who care
All for my life
I don't know how I will thrive?
For many years Ma without your presence
I miss your absence
Too much Ma, believe me I do
Feel the pangs of a deep wound within me
Wish I could show you and you would see
That what I say mean it to be true.
Ma today is your birthday
I remember as feed the street dog that wags its tail
Garland your photograph motionless and still
Offer chocolate to a kid who returns a smile
But I fail
To smile, laugh aloud that once always had done when you were there
Without you I am no where
Only a void within me
Wish you could feel.
