How badly I wish!
I hadn't come to know-
He was putting up a mask;
He wasn't real!
From among the stationary
Heavy, dark and deep clouds,
Awe inspiring thunderstorms
He was blazing a ray of light.
My path was faintly illumed.
I hoped the storm to get over soon.
I merged
My personal spaces with his.
Opening my tender heart
How much comfort and solace
I drew in him
Allowing to rule me over!
Closing my moist eyes-
I would dare to dream
Of my easy gait
Basking in calm morning sunshine
Along the familiar track
Meandering towards a verdant green hill.
All the pathways laden with
Freshly washed orchids
Early at dawn in dews
Decked up in a rainbow of colors.
Alas, I hadn't got to know
He was wearing only a mask!
Still, I wish to hear-
His resonating voice
From deep inside
A torn mind
A weathered heart!
Knowing fully well
Those weren't real.
