Standing in the entryway looking
at the nuns dusting the alter in
preparation of sunday's mass
and with the aroma of the burning
candles for a fallen angel I saw
you kneeling, saying your prayers
You never knew I looked at you as
I held it so private for minutes, I saw
you with your sweat shirt and jeans
and had just came from football practice
Funny, that moment, still reflects in my
mind, as we were so young, so very
much in love, and each of us thought
we knew so much about the other
Then, I stopped dead, my heart pounded
and a tear formed, as I just stood and watched
you. Till this day you never knew that was the
one moment that I held so private in my heart
It wasnt what you didnt do, or did do, it was
the fact it was a moment you shared with someone
so much more important than the two of us, and
it was as if, god sent me to confession that day
as he knew someday I would remember your
vision for a lifetime.........
You wrote this so well Bonnie. I think for just an instant you made me see through your eyes. I think i understand a little better now. Ashley
You captured this vision splendidly in this wonderful write Bonnie! ! *10*! ! Best wishes, Friend Thad
A living image of pure Innocence is inexplicable...and thus, you have re-created this event with such venerative & rivoting passion. As a former altar boy....and 4 sport athelete..... [and although i can't honestly say that anyone ever captured me under a halo of innocence....i can still indeed relate to the images you present in this beautiful piece of work. As always, Young lady....you do impress & never disappoint! ~ FjR ~ ..2008..
