Vision Poem by ER Bron Chiong, RSW

Things seen can be spectacular
and stunning to the person
but can also change one's life
everything seems so real
more intense and tangible
as I opened my eyes
to the most imaginable—
everything was vivid and radiant!

Is this a dream or an awakening
of some version of reality
a picturesque meadow filled
with vibrant colored flowers—
red, orange, yellow, blue and purple
swayed with breeze-like rainbows
the splendor before me was superb
I wanted to inhale the view!

A trickling noise from a running stream
crystal sapphire blue flowing water
over shiny rocks lining in its bed
making a tranquil babbling sound
of an icy but refreshing spray
as I scooped it in my cupped hands
my senses seemed to awaken
this was the life I wanted for real!

Everything so peaceful and serene
as I gaze at the magnificence displayed
I gaped at it all what is in front of me!
I breathe in the most fragrant scent
so light and pleasing to my nose
a mixture of citrus and ylang-ylang
it cleanses my body inside and out
my open mind to an infinite dream!
