Is this legend or History I wonder! Any way so sad that only women.... that too virgins(Kanya) became a prey to this sinister custom.... growing with poison which they can't help! I am hearing of this eerie practice for the first time though I have heard of Vish Kanyas! Interesting poem, at once sad and curious!

The descriptions of a vishkanya, her love and the subtlety of her emotions is matchless. The poem rightly points out about the exploitation of innocent women through this evil practice. The concluding lines present a sentimental finale. Great treatment of an enigmatic subject. Thanks.
