Victims Of Their Pride Poem by bonifacio alba

Victims Of Their Pride

Got it ✅ I've revised the poem with "Victims of their Pride" as the title and in the closing stanza:

---

Victims of Their Pride

Something fishy stirs beneath the tide,
Whispers hidden, no truth to confide.
Tempers bridled, silence worn thin,
Peace preserved, yet storms rage within.

Self-centered hearts, egos collide,
Narcissist shadows neither can hide.
Civility cracks, though masks still remain,
Damage festers, unspoken pain.

Separation looms, the lines are drawn,
Conflicts linger though night turns to dawn.
Who will yield, who dares to release,
The stubborn pride to salvage peace?

Yet no victors rise when love decays,
Both are captives in their own maze.
No winners, no losers—just empty eyes,
Two souls undone, victims of their pride.
