Venting Poem by Randy McClave

Venting

Alexis likes to vent
About banks, groceries and paying rent,
She will also vent about him or her
And how they give her a pain like a spur.
She will vent about high food prices
And about the country's current crisis,
And what needs to be done
For a victory to be accomplished and won.
She will tell me of that someone who had lied
Or that someone a truth they denied,
She will vent about the neighbor down the street
The one that she's yet to meet.
She will also angrily express
How she doesn't look good in that one dress,
She could vent all day long
While listening to a sad depressing song.
While sitting in a restaurant or in a cafe
She'll vent about her pay,
And if someone doesn't leave a decent tip
She'll begin to vent and complain and rip.
She will also always freely give her expression
No matter when or in any form of depression,
She always has my ear
And her grievances and complaints I will happily hear.
I am there and I will always listen
Like a true caring person and an understanding Christian,
And as she rambles on to me, this is my thought;
I am all that she has got.
