Vengeance Poem by lady grace

Vengeance

Rating: 5.0

Leaving me home alone
Gone to fight for our rights
Promises fill your eyes
Wish to win the fight...

At the dawn of day
Sun spreads its light
Draw smiles from your lips
waiting for tomorrow's prize...

As the day breaks, promises born
From every heart of liars
Hide the truths once more
Eyes can't see...ears can't hear
Mouths can't speak...let the truths be kept...

You lay in the ocean
Return back no more
You walk in the path of plenty white gold
Evidences…kept in trash
Accessories…vanished in blast
Let them flow in the sea of hatred
Forgiveness will never be kept in my heart...

Vengeance is inside us all for we are fragile, weak and small, to rise above into a better place is to see the truth about vengeance. I really enjoyed the journey on this poem well done.

It's quite a wonderful story told. Words form pictures in the minds of people. It conveys some images of poverty and war to me. But then again, I could be misreading. An intelligent, colorful piece feeding people thoughts is masterfully written here. Job well done.

Reality has a violence of its own which assaults us and we must figure out how to cope with it. Hopefully, you have found a satisfactory answer with your acceptance “vengeance will never be kept in my heart”. It would be helpful if we could forget and forgive, but forgetting is not something our bodies let us always do. It tends to have ways of reminding us of the unchangeable past. Maybe what you do will help others do the same.

Vengeance or freedom. Barriers only visible on the outside... choose.
