Veil Of Smile Poem by Woru Sulyman

Veil Of Smile

Beneath the veil of smile,
a contest—life and dearth.
The mouth forgets to speak
of wounds disguised as mirth.

Though words may sting with bile,
soft songs rise by the hearth;
nothing shakes a steadfast soul—
not boogeyman, nor earthbound ghouls.
