Vedic Prayer 4 - A Peace Chant From Yajur Veda
O Supreme Brahman!
The Most Powerful!Fill me with power!
The Most Valorous! Fill me with valour!
The Strongest! Fill me with strength!
You are the Vital Essence of the Universe!
Infuse in me - vitality!
Infuse in me - wrath - a strong determination to fight,
To discriminate and distinguish between the right and the wrong!
You are the Ultimate Reality!
Endow me with courage and fortitude,
Endow me with strength and will power.
Shukla Yajur Veda (Chap 19-9)
I have taken the liberty to translate the original Sanskrit verses into English. I, most humbly declare, that a translation can never do full justice to the original Sanskrit verse. Sanskrit has its own divine beauty and grace.
This is a verse that i chant every morning.
This is another prayer- exquisitely beautiful- invoking powers of the omnipotent God so as to be righteous as well as mentally, spiritually and physically strong. Great Vedic hymn. Thanks, Geeta ji.
infuse in me vitality-that is all what we need..but spiritual vitality...very helpful to enlarge our area of spiritual zone..wish I could read the original
