Valentine For Cooper
Let me have yr name written on the moon
As it glows through the night
Gazing at the stars, I see them forming a halo around yr face
Making my heart rise further into the Milky Way
We have been together a long time
Though, I thought it wouldn't last
I was wrong and it has
Maybe, today or tomorrow, you'll be gone
In the heavens, where you belong
I'll carry a lock of yr hair against my heart
Though, broken, it will mend
With the memories of the love you gave
Yr innocence will grace my soul for eternity
Love so fully, sweetly and tenderly expressed. With a sweet breeze of such sincerity itmakes it even better, yet! Very, very lovely work.
I wholeheartedly agree with Sandra, such a loving tender poem and may Cooper be spoilt rotten today with treats and walks.
