Valentine Ballad Poem by SylvaOnyema (SUPER.T) Ubah

Valentine Ballad

Rating: 5.0

Valentine is not
The philandering machine
Of youthful exigencies
Nor the esoteric kingly kiss
Of royal counterfeit expression

Valentine is simply not
The esoteric red rose
Of ambivalence magnetic romance
Nor the finest perfume
Of gentle glittering affection

Certainly not
The pretense affectation
Of amplified
Monotonous seduction
Of youngsters

Valentine is simply
A love boat drive
From self to selflessness
A philanthropic jute box
For destitute and scavengers
A sacrificial flying flag
For the colors of st.Valentine
