Vale Mh370 Poem by Stephen Vella

Vale Mh370

A flight at night to your homeland turning
With the morning to come your lives renewed.
To the middle kingdom spirits yearning
Ancient Malayalam your thoughts imbued.

Through the frigid vault of Orion’s sphere
While warm, secure and safe in dreams you flew
What demons within may have held you near
To suffer to Hades you poor sad few?

It may never be known what terror rose
As the dawn’s red first light the cabin filled.
Was death’s fell face met with stoic repose
Or impending madness in terror shrilled?

To India’s ocean your earthly life consigned.
In peace you rest, your brothers’ souls resigned.
