Vain Thoughts Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Vain Thoughts

Rating: 4.8

Barren heights!
With the hot wind blowing across the land;
And the desert was made bare.

A whirlwind! !
Like horses moving swifter than eagles;
Woe to mankind!
Because, war is not the answer to peace.

Oh mankind!
Wash your hearts from wickedness and live;
Clean your minds with the works of the truth,
Without vain thoughts! ! !
Using righteous laws to guide your ways.

'' This is a world of greed, lies and hypocrisy and parasites.'' - I totally agree with Mr. Mohabeer Beeharry. A powerful poem; especially the last stanza.

Absolutely good advice. But how many are prepared to take it. This is an world of greed, lies and hypocrisy and parasites. I like this writing and I hope it falls on some good human beings. Mohabeer Beeharry
