Upon Time Standing Still

Upon Time Standing Still
--FreeBird 02

If time stood still
Where would you long to be
Past, to a special point in Time
Where all seemed so right
And nothing felt wrong?

Or, perhaps…
Where you have worked…
So hard to be
High above the meadow creeks
Which had made it to the Seas
Just like the trials and tribulations
You concord along the way.

For if so…
Now you would rest so high
That you could comfortably see
From sea to shinning sea;
This would be a sweet grantee
In the arrival of dreamed destination.

Is it not so hard to pick
Such a time and place
For if one has not realized
There has been no pleasure
That has seen no pain
Otherwise, how would one know
Where One begins
…and the other one ends…
In order to make an educated decision?
