'Up-Hill' is a haunting dialogue poem. Six questions by a traveler on a journey at nightfall, and six encouraging answers given by the host at the inn. On a deeper level, it could be the traveler seeks rest after his life's labor. He will find rest in death. 'Will there be beds for me and all who seek? / Yea, beds for all who come'.
A striking dialogue between a traveler and some who answers the questions cryptically. I like this poem very much.
one of my top favorite poems of Christina Georgina Rossetti! Love to read all the times i encounter!
