It was during my childhood,
May be at the age of nine,
I experienced something unusual,
Something difficult to define

I completely agree with you Glen, even I do not know what triggered it. We can never summon it, so true!
How to convey the impact of an experience like this? It’s interesting to me you had it at that age. My experience of it happened in my early twenties. I was just walking down a street with nothing in mind that preceded or triggered it. And no, we cannot summon this samadhi or satori experience. But it’s memory stays with us to show us what clarity is. -Glen
This poem is an impressive work of art that resonates with the soul. Thanks for sharing this sublime experience of yours and do remain enriched.
and is so important for creating and writing songs and for a sculptor, a poet or a novelist. Its that same kind of innocence, that same level of consciousness, that you create from. And kids have it. I feel it right away from animals and children and nature. Of course." - Michael Jackson (Report) Reply
The late music icon, Michael Jackson, explained the feeling as follows: " Love. Children are loving, they dont gossip, they dont complain, theyre just open-hearted. They're ready for you. They dont judge. They dont see things by way of color. They're very child-like. Thats the problem with adults: they lose that child-like quality. And thats the level of inspiration thats so needed
Some experiences are so subtle and lasting that it can never be forgotten. Not only this, the memory of an unusual experience brings a pondering sensation that is in itself so worth cherishing. I like Robert’s comment. There are so many forces in outer world shaping our lives and experiences. Science has solved so many mysteries yet new ones keep coming.
I felt everything is connected, I felt a strange vibration......I can very well imagine your creative mind at that very point....so well penned with illustrious poetic beauty.....10
A one of a kind experience, Bipasha. You are lucky , you felt everything connected. Not all are blessed to experience the same in our respective lifetime. Very well conveyed and crafted.
Thank you Rose for your comment. I do not know if I was lucky or not. Like everyone I do have my share of ups and downs. To be honest, nothing really changed in my life after that...Only thing is it created a sense of seeking in me and made me realize even if some things do not make much logical sense still I can't discard it.
Hi Bipasha, I have read how Sree Ramakrishna Paramahamsa had experienced such oneness with Him, with the entire universe, in his younger days. He went on to become the great guru to one of the greatest sons of India, Narendra, whom he rechristened Swami Vivekananda. I take the liberty to believe that you were chosen by Him, and destined to greater things. Believe in Him and He will direct you to your destined goal..
it is always a pleasure to receive a comment from you. I always get to know something new.
sometimes some experiences go away with the time! /// beautiful poem shared
It is difficult to share such an experience! You did it gracefully! Thanks
Ha! I've NEVER connected to 'higher intelligence', and, ....believe me, all others have a 'higher intelligence' than I have. Is yours a true story? Maybe someone had drugged your tea. bri ;)
