Untitled Life Poem by Amelie Ison

Untitled Life

When I am gone,
The world will be no different -
It will not change because of me;
Because of my absence. I
Will not cause mass panic or
National emergency -
The world will continue turning;
Its people will continue walking.
When I am gone, only those
Who knew me will feel a thing
(Strangers could not know)
But there will be no disaster, when
I finally go. I will close my eyes -
This will have no butterfly effect.
Once that happens, I will be gone,
Yet the world will be no different:
Everything will be familiar,
Everything will be the same.
