Losing love through the telling of lies takes away the basis of all love, that of trust in one another. Without it someone may loudly proclaim their love day and night, and it will not be heard, because a mind knows of the lies that have been told. The poem 'Untitled' is simply beautiful with theme of mortality. The use humble & rustic words adds more beauty to each lines.
I read Roseann Shawiak's wise commentary on this poem, and she wrapped her mind around its essential truth. This is an uncompromising poem, it seeks no common ground regarding desire and fate, love and reality. The dualities are unbending, rigid, unresponsive. The honesty speaks for itself but crowds out any tender mercies we might want to extend.
