John, John, this is my favorite of all your poems. Simply magical. Love is sorrow, said the Buddha. The sorrow is worth it, you say. We all dance in the dark, none know the Truth. The ghosts lead. Let us turn again. Let us turn again, as the seasons turn, indifferent to us, though we dare not be indifferent to them. To everything there is a season. A time to gather stones together, a time to cast away stones. A time for every purpose under the heaven. I am greatly moved by this cry from the heart, the beauty of the words, the pathos which captures all the losses we endure, as we dance in the darkness. Yet dance we must - even if the ghosts of the past lead. It helps to know we have compatriots in the darkness. Total admiration for this poem, Will
Praise for your elegant lines. The refrain you have used here is very effective. In my opinion, this is truly a world class poem. Kindest regards, Sandra
