Until Then
Until that day I said I wanted in
I did not know in the IN was the thing
When I wanted IN in principle
I behaved as if I was invincible
Though I knew I was mortal
It was as if life was perpetual in total
Not knowing that it could be the beginning of the end
And in the end there could be a sudden bend
What I misunderstood brought understanding
Complete understanding without grandstanding
that death comes alive when you are born again
Like a dormant seed growing after the rain.
I did not discern
Until then
