Until That Time Poem by Sam Fischer

Until That Time

When something new starts,
Hope springs eternal,
You believe it can be the best,
The courting period is full of fun,
Laughter, smiles and sometimes sun,
You get to know the other one,
Rejoicing in their company,

For awhile it might go ok,
Thinking things are the best,
But soon enough something develops,
Those bonds begin to break,
Perhaps it's not what you expected,
Perhaps it was only a lie,
So why after 4 months of time passed,
Do you sit here glumly and cry?

The next one will come along,
Perhaps 'The One' for you,
Until that time be happy alone,
Sit here and take a pew.
