Until She Could Bear It No More Poem by Namratha Swamy

Until She Could Bear It No More

To catch the overflowing tears
she had built a dam
To stop the pressing pain
she had built a strong exterior
Humiliation, confusion,
denial, betrayal,
she had it all hid behind the wall

The pain behind the wall grew
And every time the chest was pressed
All the energy she had to hold and stop it was lost

A lump grew inside the throat
and the talk stopped
Until one day, when a crack developed in the pressure wall,
she could hold it no more!

Often when such pressure arises
the gates of the dam should be kept open
It is okay, if tears trickle
It is okay, if you can hear yourself scream! !

Feel the pain
Express your emotions
Experience the new you! ! !
