Unseen Angel Poem by S Mishra

Unseen Angel

Rating: 5.0

I fail to put her in my poems
as she cannot be confined in any.
surely, not in adjectives of my description.
she is all beyond and above
It is an unseen angel I love

I don't write romantic phrases
I only write to her my praises
and she in turn, writes back
and this is the way we love in stages.

I've questions, innumerable with me now.
Does her face challenge the charm of moon
or appearance, soft shade in sultry noon?
Do her lips utter less
or she speaks from her eyes?
She lingers on my mind like a tune
I wonder what her voice would be like?

Is her smile, a blossom in spring
or the horizon of a cold evening
but one thing I know for sure
an unseen smile to me means everything.

People I see, betray me everyday
so its better to love an unseen.
she is from beyond and above
she is an unseen angel I love.

Thanks Bri for dropping by and reading it. I don't think about the details while composing a poem like alliterations or rhyme scheme. I just go with the flow and then don't edit it much. And its true. This poem was composed for my muse, my girlfriend whom I met through this very website. And I decided not to submit any more poems. And as mentioned in the first line, she is my life, too good to be described. I would be honored if this poem remains on your list for even a second...

saket, i really enjoyed this. i like that you used rhymes but did not feel you had to use them all the time. i almost always use rhymes and i came close in the last sentence, without trying. luckily for others i don't speak in rhymes. i liked your uncertainty about her appearance. i do wonder if there is any truth in this story. i mean: do you really have an unseen angel? thanks for sharing. my mypoemlist is getting rather long, and this one shall be the one on the top of the list for a little while at least.
