These unprecedented
and trying times,
these strange
and difficult times,
we shall offer to God.
The very real burdens
that the past year
has come with
shall not be
downplayed.
One of those burdens
is that we are always
being reminded,
everywhere we look,
that things are not
as they should be,
or could be.
These reminders add
to the anxiety and
weight that so many
of us feel in a very real way.
We shall speak with love,
filled with both
compassion and
practical insight.
Many are lonely
and discouraged.
Mental health issues are
not a symptom of a spiritual
failing or insufficient faith;
rather, suffering is
the very thing our
Savior seeks to heal
as he leads us
towards his presence.
