Nothin wrong with it. But choose your dedicatees (as you did your parents) carefully.
I have found this to be a great pleasure, it remains unforgettable to the recipient. And it is most rewarding to the poet also to know that the poem touched a kindred heart, when I write a poem for someone, I try to make a visual of the person and to paint them on paper and when I post it in their honor, it is so that others can see them as I do, colors is how I visualized you and it still remains one of my favorite poems, thanks to poets like you that hold poetry in such high esteem
