It's obvious that you have the strength of mind, the exploring kind of spirit, the depth of heart that make you the kind of person who is never " locked down" in spirit or mind or heart! When you get a whiff of boredom. you look ourside your window or into your bookcase. We [you] should post your poem all over the internet to show people there is a lot of life in lock-down! ! 10+++++++++

My God! I am so overwhelmed, am I supposed to get so much praise for my humble poem? Thanks a lot, dear Susan Williams, I am highly inspired by your generous praise of the poem and the highest rating accorded to it. My very best wishes to you! By the way, I have translated your haiku 'One By One' in my mother language Bangla and posted it on poemHunter. I have also left two comments on the poem.

Beautifully penned sir. Explicit portrayal of how to keep oneself sound and healthy. Sir you reminded me to write my poetry on this topic but I'm not getting good words, so I have held it. The lonely streets The chirpy birds And my presence That fill the space. Golden is this hour Blooming what's under Hidden for year Forgetting to rise ever. Well expressed sir

The good and bad of lockdown state. It gives an opportunity to see the world in a different way, away from hustle of busy life. You can watch nature and enjoy its many forms. You can see coffins being taken to graveyards. This is the sad part. The last stanza is beautiful. Those who escape death are lucky. Enjoy the poem.

A moving write about the life in covid-19 lock down. The lock down has given us also an opportunity to see life differently. The last stanza is very meaningful and heart touching. Some has to change their addresses From temporary to a permanent Locked Down state. They move alone in coffins, with unfamiliar faces, While their families mourn, remaining ‘Locked Down'!

'This virus has brought many the pain and grief of losing their loved ones' - yes. Sadly, my nephew (my elder sister's youngest son) , a cardiologist himself and a frontline healthcare provider, died of COVID-19. He and his physician wife both tested positive. He died on the third day leaving behind his widow and two minor sons. Luckily, his wife has survived. Now his 77 year old father is fighting for life due the same disease, alone in the hospital.

The ultimate stanza is very poignant. My heart goes to those departed who have been swept away early by this great pandemic. Liked how you imbued spirituality in this marvelous write. It gives us hope. A prayer is that constant force that will shield us from the evil arms of this great destroyer. A great poem. Onto my Poem List.

What a wonderful poem so beautifully written. it expresses in beautiful detail how we are all affected by this dreaded disease. Yes, life has been changed drastically. But, there are lessons that have been imparted that will last for a lifetime and for generations to come.

Yes, life has taken a sudden reversal with lockdown. But as there can be 'method in madness', in this time of routine affairs, there is much scope for variety! We get more time to look inside and focus more on the familiar sights that can be seen through one's window. Amid all anxiety and the pall of death, life can be still made meaningful through prayers and being at peace with oneself! On reading this poem, I too saw what you saw through your window.

Due to lock-down days are passing in different manner. But lock-down is different for free birds. Birds love freedom of flying. This is good that you spend your time by listening music. The Order of Lock Down has locked us down. We have to say indoor. One day we can defeat the Corona virus. This poem is very wonderfully penned.

Thank you for for visiting my page and appreciating this poem, @Kumarmani Mahakul. You are right, when the humans are 'lockeddown', the animals and birds are free to roam around and fly out at their free will.
