Unknown Soldier (Part 2) Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

Unknown Soldier (Part 2)

From Burma to Congo
Rwanda to Somalia
Liberia to Sierra-Leone
Nigeria to Sudan
And new areas eager to bubble

Men puddle in blood of self
Having no offence of self
Yet kill they must
To satisfy a supreme command

The orphans are crying for their daddies
The widows for their hubbies
Bereaved mothers their sons
And many many more must die
Yet not a lesson learnt
