When I see you in Nature,
You are Mother Earth
Cajoling billions of your children
Pleading them not to defile you....!
When I see you as 'The Mother
In Maxim Gorky's epic,
I empathize with your innocence yet determined
Assisting the young in organizing struggles
When I see you as a confident mother
As in the Hindi film 'Mother India',
I am amazed at your courage
Not afraid to punish your own deviant child
But
Mother!
When I see you
Steeped in patriarchy
Male chauvinist anarchy,
Repression, suppression,
Brutality and domination,
I cannot tolerate your sufferings
For all the yeoman sacrifices
You! Mother!
The 'torchbearer ' of our civilization!
You are half the world
Being ruled by more than half brutal minded people...! !
When I see you Steeped in patriarchy Male chauvinist anarchy, Repression, suppression, Brutality and domination, .... well penned wrapping patriotic sense
