Ungrateful Poem by Felix Otiende

Ungrateful

Ungrateful

The world is full of it's own,
All are full of faults,
We are born of sinful nature,
Even Adam and Eve sinned,

Why are you after my life?
Am not your relative,
Why are you placing thorns on my path?
Yet one day, you will have to use it,

You are going round spreading rumours about me,
Who is paying you?
I have been blocking my heart and ears,
Today you have gone overboard,

I knew men got each others back,
You open your arms to receive my help,
Then it's my name your backbite,
Are you really wise?

Pray for those blessed before you,
You are blocking your blessings,
Am happy with my life,
If it's God's purpose, am glad.
