Unenlightened Silence Poem by Phil J Hambling

Unenlightened Silence

What would you say to the wall
That you couldn't say to them
The question bounces off the bricks and back inside you
What would you say to the air
That you couldn't say to thier face
Each breath is lost in a stare
And an unenlightened silence
