Undying Rose Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Undying Rose

Undying rose standing strong
So much pain, still going on
Such vile pollution all around
Euthanized environment
Soiled stench into the ground
But the undying rose battles on
Despite the world's toxic waste intentions

In the surrounding ugliness
A Beauty she stands alone
Being poisoned by insidious correlations
All around and around they go
Trying to kill her spirit
But her spirit will never let go

Onward and fighting
Weary bones
Never quitting in this battle
Striving all by herself in psychical form

Such a warrior she is
One that has taken so much pain
Her mind still strong
Nothing will ever break her
She is one in the endless garden of knowledge
In which she never stops growing

This undying rose I admire so dearly
Fearless yet weary
But she keeps going on
So proud and strong

If she looks back
She can truly see
How far shall has truly come

So proud of this undying rose
In spirit and support I am here
She will never be all alone

Here is to the beauty of the undying rose
