Undetected Lies Poem by Gautam Sen

Undetected Lies

Lies lay rock-solid seals,
hypocrisy leaves mark on face,
sordidly conspicuous -
but without repentance anyway.
Doubts and distrusts crop up
Simple relations get hindered.

Simplicity no more
treasured for its priceless value,
expectations soon die,
with tolerance touching its bottom,
arguments find pleasure.
Feigning lies sometimes win
to persist as falsified truth.

Better to prefer a change
in an attitudinal way;
rapports' foundations depend
on a strong mutual faith,
respect, liking one another.
Better not to exert, nor to try
for any transformation of those stoned lies.
‘Cause after it’s applied for some purpose
as a safeguard of getting unmasked,
it becomes a burden for its owner.
