Poets can speculate Scientists can formulate Theists can evaluate. Only through an amalgam Of these three philosophies Can mankind achieve 'A knowledge of the Truth. I love the last V of your poem, you're right, human can just try to understand this earth, but they would never be able to. Great.

When I read what you John and Ejaz have written, I notice I land somewhere in between the both of you. I think John is right in one way: To seek truth we must make an amalgam of different philosophies. I once heard a professor in theoretical astrofysics say that when you, in your research, have many alternatives to choose between, always choose the most beautiful one, estetically. But I agree with Ejaz, the capacity of solving the mysteries of life is beyond any human beings, no matter how creative and scientific at the same time. A very good write, though!

A very interesting write, John, I am impressed by the way you presented your thoughts regarding life on the planet, its scientific viability and much more, without any doubt one can see a scholar ruminating, trying to find answers to the philosophical questions. Unfortunately the mysteries of life are beyond the capacities of poets, philosophers, theists or others interested in these matters. Our scientists are too materialistic and reject any solutions that can't be proved by given tools, our poets and other intelectuals are too dreamy to be relied upon, they exaggerate, they are too emotional and can't be trusted as stable source of knowledge, the theists on other hand are overwhelmingly indulged in dogmas and rituals, thus losing the contact with reality. With due respect, I suggest that you find better solutions in your next writes, on the whole a very profound and thought provoking write! 10/10
