Under a sky so blue
Something so wonderful
And something so true
A hike in the mountains
Trees glazed by the sun's glorious rays
A token of wonder and magnificence
One of the world's best days
Under a sky so blue
Something terrible
With lack of hue
A young mind marked with their time
They've chosen their last dawn
Inside with no rhyme
Nor whimsy
Their last blue sky
Under a sky so blue
People's rights are taken away
Yes that's true
The need to fight
To keep their self
Their soul inside
Screaming for help
Under a sky so blue
Something wretched
And something so cruel
You see the sky
With such a magnificent hue
Just as though it was mocking you
Or maybe, just maybe
It's reaching out its hand
To help you make a stand
To give you the strength to continue on
To help you live through another dawn
We need to carry on
To follow through
To live to help others
As well as ourselves
Fight for us
Fight for you
And god dammit just fight
Just fight
Whenever there's injustice
To live and let live
Is now a coward's choice
We must fight
And if you can't fight
Then speak up
And if you can't speak
Then stand
And if you can't stand
Just don't lie down
Don't live and let this injustice stand before us
For injustice should have no place under our sky so blue
