Uncoventionally Yours Poem by Suryendu Chaudhury

Uncoventionally Yours

I won't say my world revolves around you,
It's just our world is but one.
I may break a promise to you,
But I promise myself to you.

Like lovers, I won't shower roses;
I will care for the everlasting rose.
False praises, I shall not bestow,
As beyond praise, I find you.

I can't sing songs just for your pleasure,
My song shall eternalise you.
Lavish gifts I won't present;
I shall give the greatest gift to you.

Spring doesn't remind me of your presence,
All seasons speak to me about you.
I don't feel anxious to see you every day,
Eyes know you are within.

I may not do what you please,
But I shall learn to keep you happy.
My life and death are not yours,
The eternity- I pledge to you.
