Uncaring Society Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

Uncaring Society

Eating an unripe mango
By the side of the dusty road
Is a little orphan boy
Without a choice

The bourgeois flashy cars sped by unconcerned
Covering him with more dust
Men and women of affluence
Gaily dressed and healthy looking
Strolled by without a thought
As he ate without a choice

His place of residence,
The tattered dress
The unhealthy look and food
Is really nobody's concern.

We are all God's children. Both poor children and the wealthy. All kids deserve respect. They did not choose their parents nor cities. Hope I make sense. You are truly a caring human being.)) thank you
