A very emotive subject, yet simply and beautifully expressed here.

A difficult and divisive subject, you have addressed it well.

first I LIKED IT AS A POEM. i liked the rhyming sequence. maybe i'll try it IF i remember it. i found the comments almost as, if not more, interesting considering how i read the poem and Adeline's poet's notes. it appeared as though two of the commenters thought the poem was about the length of a human's life....i mean a human which IS born and lives for a number of years. and at least one reader feels Adeline is against abortion; she may be, i don't know, but i don't see that the poem says she is against it. thanks Adeline for sharing. bri (it would be interesting to know your views re abortion. i'm at least pro-choice, if not pro-abortion, but i do hear that decreased birth rates are causing some problems for some countries now and probably will in the future, especially when added to increased numbers of aging/disabled/sick/nonworking adults. thanks for the poet note.

This is a very appealing piece, Adeline. I can even relate this to the situation of unborn infants or any aborted lives, hindered from developing or shining. Thanks for writing this.
