An email written
An email ignored
So one wonders
What's it all for
You write someone
To say hello
It's not a stranger
It's someone you know
Or someone you thought
That you knew
But no answer comes
So what can one do?
I guess it's a chance
That we all take
So, I ask, why bother!
For any sake

I get lots of robo-calls on my phone. I don't answer unless I know the caller, but if someone you know e-mails you and you don't respond, that's rude. Good poem.
