Trials are just unstoppable,
They are like the cold falling rain;
Endurance we all truly need
To weather the strong storm of pain.
Rains may come in total torrents,
Like tests that come in succession;
They drown the heart and mind in tears,
Draining both by tribulation.
Firm faith in God we must possess,
Holding the umbrella handle;
Though the downpour is too heavy,
We can still stand, we can struggle.
Faith fails to remove the tough test,
For life is truly fraught with it;
But it makes us able to pass,
Even if heart is hardest-hit.
With no trials to experience,
Our resolve will not be proven;
Like the genuine gold placed on fire,
We are cleared by God in heaven.
Trials by fire that do happen
Are too hot to touch by the hand;
Let's handle them with utmost care,
By the shield of one God's command.
Without true faith we will weaken,
Chilling in the rain dark and cold;
When trials come- hard or easy,
Umbrella of faith we must hold.
