There is a wise saying in Odia language- -'Sarpanka sange kale baasa, nische ghatiba sarba naasha'......If we keep company with snakes, we are surely doomed. We should avoid company of bad people who give wrong advice or whose minds are full of negative thoughts because they make us believe in wrong things. Vices are not crimes but you think, Crimes are provoked by vices within, Vices in unified condition scatter, Illusion is unshackled and it holds. - - - - -Our mind is the source of good or bad.Good thoughts guide us to good deeds while bad thoughts provoke us to commit bad deeds.(Part-1)

I have my vices. They have not led to crimes but in many people they do. You are truly wise.

Vices are not crimes but you think, / Crimes are provoked by vices within- - ] I have probably thought something like this at some point in my life, in a college class, or in a Bible study but the thing is you said it in a different more vivid and thought provoking way., Your poetry is often infused with wisdom-truth-philosophy to set your readers to thinking instead of gliding over life. 10+++

The title of this poem drew me to read this wonderful write. A title that gives a big impact on the reader. The rest of the work has powerful lines that we can draw words of wisdom and philosophy of life.

We are all filled with both virtues and vices, it is our choices that make us who we want to be. Choosing not to commit a crime or do something akin to it is the key perhaps. A very well written poem Mr Mahakul. Thanks for sharing.
