What if something had ended our lives…
What if today is our very last day with no God in the heavens
to hear the prayers that we pray
What if tomorrow never arrives... What if it all goes away
Nothing after-- nor before… Time in total disarray
What if tomorrow's no more
and all that is left, is the rest of this day
What if we ignore the warning signs…
The earth stands still
The moon no longer shines…
What if our sun would suddenly die
and one by one the stars spill from the sky
And what if all that we knew were nothing but lies…
That nothing was true…
That we couldn't even believe our own eyes
What if there's no one around to hold a child when it cries
What if we don't make a sound or that the lost won't be found
because nobody cares… Nobody tries
Among the renowned, Evil is crowned
as we give in to our fears and our sorrows
The salt of our tears, along with our peers, fall to the ground…
No more months… No more years… No tomorrows
Nothing is left… There's no remains of our lives-- of our final hours
Nothing sustains nor survives… No proof of our powers
Dead are the wise, alone in stone towers
The bread cannot rise… The wine finally sours
The best are depraved and the brave of us cowers
No… Nothing is left! Save only the grave…
Desolate now
and bereft of flowers
