Ukraine's Spirit Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Ukraine's Spirit

I went to war
Against my will
I believe in peace
My neighbours in war

I fought for my country
Destined to be Ukraine
But it was just in name
And not in heart and soul

On foot I fought death
Soldiers war horses
Against all damn odds
For Ukraine's spirit

I died with such brave heart
'cause World's Heart lacked courage
To serve God in World Peace
Ukraine's Spirit will haunt you
