Two Years Gone Poem by Caroline Bulleck

Two Years Gone

I look up and you're not here
I'm just talking to myself again
The loneliness I've come to fear

I pause to wipe away a tear
And I almost feel you. But then
I look up and you're not here

The emptiness inside always near
Sharpened by glances of other men
The loneliness I've come to fear

"I miss you so much dear
Two years gone feels like ten"
I look up and you're not here

Your voice I wish I could hear
This isolation I wish would end
The loneliness I've come to fear

Everyday the pain more severe
Everyday harder to pretend
I look up and you're not here
The loneliness I've come to fear
