Two Weeks Poem by Rusty Ed Gibson

Two Weeks

Two weeks at a time
is how I live
For two days in a row
I give all I can give
Then it all gets put away
those toys aren't out to stay
The fun all stops
the tears choked back get hard
for Two More Weeks
my heart is torn apart
I raised him up
till he was nine
I knew he would have to leave
as he wasn't mine
They say don't worry Pappy
it wont be long
He'll be back like nothing is wrong
Every two weeks there are two days
When we get to do it our way
Every two weeks Come two days
That my little buddy and me get to play
Every two weeks I get to sleep
Every two weeks I find peace
